What are the strategic choices for value creation? Will “sustainability” become the driver of value creation of the new decade?
Innovations are key to create value but in mature markets real breakthrough innovations are very rare and manufacturers need to look for parallel ways of creating value. Creating value can also be done through product rationalisation. Retailers create value by streamlining assortments or by putting more pressure on negotiations and sell more at a lower price in a increasingly more competitive market. It is clear that the shift in power balance has strengthened the negotiation position of the retailers, the suppliers now have to, to a greater extent than before, accommodate to the retailers' goals, whether they be financial or strategic.
GfK has invited top level speakers representing all stakeholders FMCG in Belgium : A- brand manufacturers, retailers, agencies and the academic world.
There will be discussion among a panel of senior decision makers who will share their approaches to this topic. Discussion will then open for an interactive exchange with the audience.
